In Montana, where opportunities to socialize with other GLBTI (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex) people are few, a Community Center is a valuable resource. After much work by as task force made up of many of people, The Western Montana Community Center opened in Missoula, Montana October 11, 1999.
The Center supports the work of all community members to create & sustain a healthy community in Western Montana.
The Western Montana Community Center is an open affirming environment for peoples of all sexual orientations and gender identity expressions. We empower our community through education, advocacy, and collaborative networking. We strive to be Western Montana’s voice for the LGBTIQ community and allies.
We envision a Western Montana where LGBTIQ peoples are engaged proudly and safely in their selves and their community.
