Volunteer Opportunities

The Center is always looking for community volunteers who can give their time or talents to benefit our community. We have a wide range of volunteer opportunities available. We are currently staffed 100% by volunteers, so even a few hours a week or month helps us to keep the Center open and accessible to our community.

We also have special events periodically throughout the year which require volunteers. Events such as the Black and White Ball rely on the work of volunteers to do everything from working at a desk to making phone calls to taking tickets or helping with our silent auction. We have a variety of needs from basic filing to website work to writing and production of OutWords. No matter what sort of talents you possess, we can usually use your talents and energy in some way.

We also rely on volunteers for our weekly and periodic groups. If you have a unique talent or career which you could present for an information presentation of interest or benefit to the gay community, or could devote 1-2 nights a month to moderate one of our weekly groups, we would be happy to have you contribute!

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunties

The Western Montana Community Center is staffed 100% by volunteers, but we realize that not everyone wants to volunteer in an office setting. Here are a few upcoming opportunties to volunteer for the Center outside of it's physical space.

• Black and White Ball 2013 - March 2nd, 2013
  • The Black and White Ball serves as the Center's signature fundraiser, and more importantly, serves as one of the few formal events geared directly toward the LGBTQQI and Allied community.
  • Volunteer opportunities available from 4pm on Saturday, March 2nd to 2am on Sunday, March 3rd.
  • All volunteers earn a free ticket to the 2013 Black & White Ball**
